Ana noktalar
- Boana nympha'nın reklam çağrısı ilk kez tanımlanmıştır.
- B. nympha'nın çağrısı, B. benitezi grubunda yaygın olan titreşimsiz nota modelini paylaşır.
- B. nympha'nın çağrısının zamansal ve spektral özellikleri, B. benitezi hariç akraba türlerin çoğundan farklıdır.
- B. microderma (titreşimli notalar), B. ornatissima, B. roraima, B. rhythmica (tek notalı çağrılar) ve B. hobbsi (iki nota tipi) türlerinin çağrıları önemli ölçüde farklılık gösterir.
- B. benitezi grubundaki on türün tamamı artık akustik olarak karakterize edilmiştir.
Yapay zekâ ile başlık ve abstract'tan üretildi; tam metin okunmaz.
Özet (abstract)
Boana is a widely distributed genus of Neotropical tree frogs, classified into eight species groups. One of them, the Boana benitezi group, comprises ten species endemic to Amazonia and the Pantepui. The advertisement calls of all species in the group have already been described, except that of B. nympha. We describe the call of B. nympha, reanalyze available acoustic data from five congeners of the group, and compare the calls of the ten species of the group. The call of B. nympha shares a typical vocal pattern of the group, i.e. a short series of non-pulsed notes. The temporal and spectral traits of the call differ from those of other species in the group that share the same vocal pattern as B. nympha, except B. benitezi. The calls of four other species of the group do not share this vocal pattern: calls formed by pulsed notes (B. microderma) or single-note calls (B. ornatissima, B. roraima, and B. rhythmica). The last species, B. hobbsi, had a call that stood apart for displaying two note types. With the description of the call of B. nympha, all ten species of the B. benitezi group are acoustically characterized.
