Abstract
Aizanoi Antik Kenti, Örencik Ovası platosunda, antik çağda Phrygia Epiktetos Bölgesi’nde yer alan bir Roma kentidir. Bu kentin en parlak dönemi Roma İmparatorluk Çağı’dır. Hadrianus ve Antoninler Dönemi’nde kent, yoğun biçimde imar faaliyetleri geçirdiği için bu dönemde kozmopolit bir yapıdadır. Kentin antik ve kırsal dokuyu aynı anda içinde barındırması, özel bir kültürel miras kimliği oluşturduğu için 2012 yılında “Unesco Dünya Kültürel Mirası Geçici Listesi’ne” kabul edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Aizanoi Antik Kentinde 1970-2020 yılları arasındaki çalışmalarda tespit edilen gladyatör betimlemeleri incelenecektir. Bu betimler kentteki çeşitli dönemlerdeki kazılarda tespit edilen bomoslar ve kandiller üzerinde görülmektedir. Özellikle bomoslardaki betimler Aizanoi’daki gladyatörlerin varlığını işaret etmekle beraber burada hangi türde oyunlar oynandığına dair bilgiler sunmaktadır. İncelenen kalıp yapımı kandillerin üzerindeki bezemeler Anadolu’daki diğer örnekler gibi discusta yer almaktadır. İncelenen bu eserlerin MS. 1. ile 3.yy. aralığında olduğu ve Aizanoi’un en parlak dönemini geçirdiği Roma İmparatorluk Çağı’na tarihlendirildiği saptanmıştır.
