Abstract
Large-size KCd 4 As 3 and RbCd 4 As 3 single crystals were grown using the flux method. Appropriate flux for growing single crystals was determined to be Cd 2 As, resulting in the increase in their size to be a centimeter for KCd 4 As 3 . The KCd 4 As 3 and RbCd 4 As 3 crystals exhibited metal-like temperature dependences of their electrical resistivities with negative Seebeck coefficients, characterizing them as n-type thermoelectric materials.
