Abstract

Abstract This research note examines how international organisations and supranational entities are addressing the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, with a particular focus on the guidelines they have published. It seeks to identify common themes covered in these guidelines. Drawing on eight official documents published by international and regional organisations, the research note aims to map the international discourse on the topic up to 2024 and to demonstrate that, despite regional differences, there are shared approaches to framing the regulation of AI in education policy across regions.
