Key points
- Congenital impaction of three consecutive maxillary molars is a rare dental anomaly in horses.
- Computed tomography (CT) provided essential spatial information for surgical planning, surpassing conventional radiography.
- Surgical extraction was performed using a maxillary sinus bone flap technique.
- Histopathology of sinus floor bone samples showed reactive osteosclerosis, likely due to chronic pressure or sinusitis.
- Post-operative complications were managed successfully, resulting in good long-term functional recovery.
