Abstract

If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together (African Proverb).I have been pondering this African proverb over the last several months in relation to nursing as a profession having a singular voice, a shared agenda, and a unified purpose that is only achievable through meaningful collaboration. This is not a call to uniformity or conformity, but rather, it is a call to build and strengthen collaboration by breaking silos and reducing competition among nursing organizations.Indeed, the power of one is fulfilled only when we become united.
