Abstract

This study developed a preliminary municipal decision-support framework for aging-in-place in two Thai communities. Participatory research combined 525 survey records, facility assessments, and design consultations. The sample included older adults and other household respondents. Of 271 coded fall/home-accident location entries, 40.22% concerned the front-of-house area; this proportion is not a location-specific risk estimate. Among 423 first-priority modification responses, roofing was most frequently selected. Two assessment instruments, housing prototypes, and manuals linked identified needs with proposed administrative actions. The contribution is a context-specific assessment-to-planning framework, not demonstrated intervention effectiveness. Independent validation and prospective evaluation of implementation and safety outcomes remain necessary.
