Abstract
The volume offers a new critical and commented edition of the entire corpus of currently known <em>cacce </em>(22 texts and 19 musical settings). From an interdisciplinary point of view, the introductory study deals with many of the issues raised by a genre not widely disseminated as the madrigal and the <em>ballata</em>, but of great relevance to our knowledge of Italian Trecento music and poetry.
