Abstract
Abstract As digital transformation gains momentum, established firms are increasingly adopting advanced technologies, particularly in procurement, as a strategic way to enhance efficiency and maintain competitive advantage. Given the constraints of limited time and resources, decision-makers often struggle to identify and prioritize strategies for the successful implementation of digital procurement. This study presents a hybrid technique that combines Fuzzy Set Theory, the Delphi method, the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL), and the Analytical Network Process (ANP) to uncover key elements in procurement digitalization. The findings indicate that the most critical factors are mature procurement processes, the availability of an overall digital strategy, awareness of digital procurement’s benefits, a flexible communication structure, and data security and data transparency. This study highlights the importance of organizational aspects and corporate capabilities in digitalizing procurement operations, facilitating the development of corresponding strategies. The research provides managerial insights for effective resource allocation and contributes to long-term returns on investment in procurement reform.
