Abstract
The Art Institute of Chicago’s Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Learning Center offers all its K-12 student experiences bilingually in Spanish and English utilizing translanguaging strategies. This case study offers insights into the impetus for offering bilingual tours, the pedagogical theories that undergird our approaches, the student-centered strategies used to authentically engage students, the ways in which we communicate about our bilingual offerings to teachers, and the impact of the Art Institute of Chicago’s bilingual tours for K-12 student groups.
